With Supporters and Advisors Like This, Who Needs Swiftboating?

So imagine with me if you will, a third party. It doesn't matter which one, you can pick any and the results would be the same. In the Republican primary there were three final viable candidates. Mike Hukabee, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. In this case the third wheel was a conservative, so the conservative vote was split between the two most conservative. So now there were far more conservative voters supporting the more conservative candidates but the less popular moderate won the ticket due to that split. The end result is that the least popular of the three wins the ticket. The same would be true of a third party. Any election they would be relevant in, makes them a spoiler for the very things they more closely desire. That is literally why Israel is so screwed up. They have 6 or 8 parties. When the election begins to wind down, they generally have three candidates to choose from, rather than 6 or 8. The other 3 or 5 are still on the ticket the same way they are here, but those three or five are just as irrelevant as they are here. In the end the least of the three most popular winds up getting the nod.
